Investment Overview

A major soluble (instant) coffee processing factory to transform Uganda's position from raw coffee exporter to value-added coffee producer. Uganda is Africa's largest coffee exporter with approximately 4.8 million bags annually.

The facility will produce instant coffee, freeze-dried coffee, and specialty coffee products for both domestic and export markets. The project requires USD 48.1 million in capital expenditure plus USD 33.89 million in annual operating expenses.

This aligns with the National Coffee Policy which prioritises value addition to capture more of the global coffee value chain. Currently, most Ugandan coffee is exported as green beans.
